The second book in the Harry Potter will be coming to Pottermore very soon! As of yesterday, the Pottermore team was finishing up on the artwork for chapter 8 of book 2 (not really significant as they are not doing the chapters in order). Here is what they wrote on their blog:

Over the past few weeks on the Site Updates section of the Pottermore Insider, we’ve been letting you know about our progress developing Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on Pottermore.

We’re excited to announce that the first chapters of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets are coming very soon to Pottermore.

We will reveal more about this next week here on the Pottermore Insider, as well as the Pottermore Gateway and the new Pottermore house noticeboards.

Are you excited for all the stuff that will be coming in book 2? If you haven’t already completed everything in book 1, I suggest you take a look at our Pottermore Walkthroughs and be done with book 1 before book 2 is out!

If you haven’t heard, the Pottermore House cup is taking place really soon. Pottermore sent the following email to all its users.

Have you been brewing potions and duelling? On an unrelated note, when do you think Pottermore will be releasing Book 2? Perhaps sometime in July? In that case, we won’t have the access to last book until 2017 at that rate!

As we discussed a couple of weeks ago, Pottermore will soon be opening up to everyone! Soon, you’ll have the opportunity to register if you haven’t already done so, and your account will be activated shortly after. You’ll be sorted into one of the four Hogwarts houses, have a wand choose you, and explore every other portion of Pottermore that is currently available.

So far, only book 1 is available. If you haven’t already gotten through it, definitely take a look at our Pottermore Book 1 Walkthrough Guide. As for book 2, seems like I was a bit off about the date it will be released (per my previous theory). Nonetheless, I’m hoping they’ll release book 2 soon, so those of us who are done with book 1 can move on to something new!
